Pressure equipment: simple pressure vessels. Codification

PURPOSE: codification of Directive 87/404/EC on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to simple pressure vessels.

LEGISLATIVE ACT: Directive 2009/105/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council relating to simple pressure vessels (codified version).

CONTENT: the purpose of this Directive is to undertake a codification of Council Directive 87/404/EEC of 25 June 1987 on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to simple pressure vessels.

The new Directive will supersede the various acts incorporated in it. This Directive fully preserves the content of the acts being codified and hence does no more than bring them together with only such formal amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself.
