Freedom of movement for workers within the Union. Codification

The Committee on Legal Affairs adopted the report drawn up by Lidia Joanna GERINGER de OEDENBERG (S&D, PL) on the proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on freedom of movement for workers within the Union (codified version).

It recommended that the European Parliament’s position at first reading under the ordinary legislative procedure (formerly known as the codecision procedure) should take over the Commission proposal, taking into account the recommendations of the Consultative Working Party of the legal services of the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission.
