Classification, packaging and labelling of dangerous preparations

The Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety adopted the report by Eija-Riitta KORHOLA (EPP, FI) on the proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the classification, packaging and labelling of dangerous preparations (recast).

The committee recommends that the European Parliament’s position adopted at first reading, following the ordinary legislative procedure, should amend the Commission’s proposal as follows:

Members call for the time period to express objections as regards a delegated act to be extended by two months at the initiative of the European Parliament or of the Council (contrary to one month as proposed by the Commission).
