EP Rules of Procedure, Rules 166 and 195(3): final vote and voting in committee

The European Parliament decided by 617 votes to, 23 with 12 abstentions, to amend Rule 166 of Parliament's Rules of Procedure concerning the final vote and Rule 195(3) concerning voting in committee.
Parliaments Rules should be amended as follows:
- Rule 166 (final vote): when deciding on the basis of a report, Parliament shall take any single and/or final vote by roll call. The vote on amendments shall be taken by roll call only pursuant to a request made pursuant to Rule 167.
- Rule 195 paragraph 3 (vote in committee): any single and/or final vote in committee on a report shall be taken by roll call in accordance with Rule 167(2). The vote on amendments and other votes shall be taken by a show of hands, unless the Chair decides to proceed to an electronic vote or a quarter of the committee members request a vote by roll call.
