EC/Indonesia Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Partnership and Cooperation: matters related to readmission

PURPOSE: to conclude a Framework Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and Indonesia, of the other part as regards matters related to readmission.

NON-LEGISLATIVE ACT: Council Decision 2014/231/EU on the conclusion of the Framework Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, on the one part, and Indonesia, on the other part, as regards matters related to readmission. 

CONTENT: by means of this Decision, the Council approves on behalf of the European Union, with the consent of the European Parliament, the Framework Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and Indonesia, of the other part as regards matters only related to readmission. Other aspects of the framework agreement are the subject of a separate decision.

The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy shall chair the Joint Committee provided for in the Agreement. The Union or, as the case may be, the Union and the Member States, shall be represented in the Joint Committee depending on the subject matter.

ENTRY INTO FORCE: the decision enters into force on 14.04.2014. The date of the entry into force of the agreement will be published in the Official Journal of the European Union by the General Secretariat of the Council.
