EC/Russia Partnership and Cooperation Agreement: accession of Croatia to the EU. Protocol
PURPOSE: to conclude, on behalf of the European Union and its Member States, the Protocol to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement establishing a partnership between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and Russia, of the other part, to take account of the accession of Croatia to the European Union.
NON-LEGISLATIVE ACT: Council Decision (EU) 2015/2194 on the conclusion, on behalf of the European Union and its Member States, of the Protocol to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement establishing a partnership between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Russian Federation, of the other part, to take account of the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union.
CONTENT: in accordance with Council Decision 2014/956/EU, the Protocol to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement establishing a partnership between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and Russia, of the other part, to take account of the accession of Croatia to the European Union has been signed, subject to its conclusion.
Under this Council Decision, the Protocol is hereby approved on behalf of the European Union and its Member States.
The conclusion of the Protocol is subject to a separate procedure as regards matters falling within the competence of the European Atomic Energy Community.
With the adoption of the adoption of this Protocol, Croatia is incorporated as contracting party to the Agreement and commits the EU to providing the authentic version of the Agreement in the Croatian language.
