EC/Lebanon Euro-Mediterranean Association Agreement: accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the EU. Protocol

PURPOSE: to conclude a Protocol to the Euro-Mediterranean Agreement establishing an Association between the European Community and its Member States, of the one part, and Lebanon, of the other part, to take account of the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the European Union.

NON-LEGISLATIVE ACT: Council Decision (EU) 2016/1218 on the conclusion of a Protocol to the Euro-Mediterranean Agreement establishing an Association between the European Community and its Member States, of the one part, and Lebanon, of the other part, to take account of the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the European Union.

CONTENT: under this Decision, the Protocol to the Euro-Mediterranean Agreement establishing an Association between the European Community and its Member States, of the one part, and Lebanon, of the other part, to take account of the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the European Union is hereby approved on behalf of the Union and its Member States.

The Protocol was signed on behalf of the Union and its Member States on 18 June 2015.
