EU/Vietnam Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Partnership and Cooperation: accession of Croatia to the EU. Protocol

PURPOSE: to conclude the Protocol to the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Partnership and Cooperation between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and Vietnam, of the other part, to take account of the accession of Croatia to the European Union.

NON-LEGISLATIVE ACT: Council Decision (EU) 2016/2342 on the conclusion, on behalf of the European Union and its Member States, of the Protocol to the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Partnership and Cooperation between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, of the other part, to take account of the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union.

CONTENT: with this Decision, the Council approved, on behalf of the European Union and its Member States, the Protocol to the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Partnership and Cooperation between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and Vietnam, of the other part, to take account of the accession of Croatia to the European Union.

With this Protocol, Croatia becomes a contracting party to the Protocol.
