EC Staff Regulations of officials: equal treatment for freelance interpreters

PURPOSE : To ensure equal treatment of all conference interpreters engaged on behalf of Community institutions. COMMUNITY MEASURE : Council Regulation 628/2000 amending Regulation 259/68/CEE laying down the Staff Regulations of Officials of the European Communities and the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the Communities. PURPOSE : The Regulation is amended to the effect that the same terms and conditions of employment applied to conference interpreters engaged by the European Parliament shall apply to auxiliary staff engaged by the Commission as conference interpreters on behalf of the Community institutions and bodies.
