Decision on setting up a subcommittee on tax matters

The European Parliament decided by 613 votes to 67, with 8 abstentions to set up a Subcommittee on Fiscal Affairs within the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs.

This subcommittee shall have 30 members. It shall be responsible for tax matters, in particular the fight against tax fraud, tax evasion and tax avoidance, as well as financial transparency for tax purposes.
