Transport operator: mutual recognition of diplomas, certificates and other formal qualifications (consolidated version)

The Council approved the Commission proposal as such, subject to the following amendments: - integration in the text of Article 5 and Article 10 of the proposal of the time limits for implementation to be observed by the Member States joining the Community after adoption of the directives; - abolition of the time limit for appointment of the authorities or bodies competent to issue documents and certificates; - linguistic amendments to ensure uniformity of the texts. None of these amendments alters the substance or scope of the former directives. �
