Trans-European energy networks: guidelines

Following the agreement on a joint text that was reached by the Conciliation Committee on 27 March 1996, the Council adopted the Decision laying down a series of guidelines for trans-European energy networks. As this had been achieved through the codecision procedure, the European Parliament for its part was still to confirm the joint text; the decision would then be definitively adopted.
