Conservation of fishery resources : technical measures (18th amend. regul. 3094/86/EEC)

The Council noted with satisfaction the control measures implemented by the Member States concerned with a view to ensuring full compliance with the rules in force. It confirmed the importance it attaches to the Commission exercising even-handed vigilance. It also noted that the proposal to amend the rules in force still did not have the support of a qualified majority. It instructed the Permanent Representatives Committee to continue examining this dossier in the light of today’s discussions.
