Latvia: membership application and partnership, 13 October 1995

Following the presentation on 27 October to the President of the Council of Latvia's request for accession to the European Union, the Council decided to implement the procedure provided for in the Treaty and ask the Commission to draw up its opinion on this application. The President of the Council will write to the Latvian authorities to inform them of this decision.�
