Agricultural prices 2000/2001: pigmeat, common organisation of the markets CMO (amend. Regulation (EEC) n° 2759/75)

Following discussion of Commission proposals on setting prices for agricultural products the Council adopted the Regulations concerning sugar (by a qualified majority) and pigmeat and noted that there were problems with the other products; it agreed to resume consideration of this subject at its next meeting. The Spanish delegation regretted that no solution had been found as regards its repeated request for a support system for nuts, during the current discussion of agricultural prices for 2000/2001 marketing year.�
