Car industry: approval of vehicles intended for the carriage of dangerous goods, UN/ECE Regulation 105

PURPOSE: to permit the accession of the Community to Regulation 105 of the EEC/UN concerning the approval of vehicles intended for the carriage of dangerous goods with regard to their specific constructional features.
COMMUNITY MEASURE: Council Decision 2001/505/EC on the accession of the EU to Regulation 105 of the UN concerning the approval of vehicles intended for the carriage of dangerous goods with regard to their specific constructional features.
CONTENT: This Council Decision refers to the accession of the Community to Regulation 105 of the EEC/UN concerning the approval of vehicles intended for the carriage of dangerous goods with regard to their specific constructional features. In particular, this decision seeks to abolish the technical barriers to trade in motor tyres with regard to their specific constructional features. Regulation 105 should be incorporated into the Community approval system for motor vehicles and thus be added to legislation in force within the Community.
