General Fisheries Council for the Mediterranean: accession of the Community

In a Council document on accession by the Community to the General Fisheries Council for the Mediterranean (CGPM), the Council confirms in a single declaration annexed to the agreement the division of responsibilities between the Community and its Member States with regard to items on the agenda of the CGPM: -sole competence reserved for the Community: management and conservation of live marine resources, -Member States competent: legal, budgetary and procedural issues on the agenda (organizational matters), -joint competence: statistics and aquaculture, research and development aid, consideration of reports and cooperation with other organizations.�
