Implementation of Member States' action programmes on control of EAGGF Guarantee Section expenditure

PURPOSE: To extend financing on the control of EAGGF Guarantee Section expenditure. COMMUNITY MEASURE: Council Regulation 2136/2001/EC amending Regulation 723/97/EC on the implementation of Member States' action programmes on control of EAGGF Guarantee Section expenditure. CONTENT: Based on a number of positive reports received from the Member States, coupled with the recognition that Member States are required to invest in expensive equipment for the implementation of action programmes controlling the EAGGF guarantee Section expenditure, this amended Regulation seeks to extend Community financing in this field by a further two years.
