1993 discharge: clearance of accounts EAGGF-Guarantee

OBJECTIVE: to present the clearance of the accounts of the Member States for expenditure financed by the EAGGF, Guarantee Section, for the 1993 financial year. SUBSTANCE: In this document the Commission sets out the figures notified by the Member States relating to accounts for expenses paid by the payment bodies provided for under Regulation 729/70/EEC under the common agricultural policy (CAP) and in particular the EAGGF Guarantee Section. The Commission is required in this context to carry out audits of the expenditure concerned and to check, inter alia, the correctness of certain actions in relation to export refunds. In the light of the checks made, part of the expenditure declared by the Member States does not satisfy the desired conditions and can therefore not be funded by the EAGGF. To this end the Commission submits in the annex to its decision a comparative table of the amounts declared by each of the Member States concerned and those recognized by the Commission as being payable by the EAGGF. The differences between these two sums are also shown. �
