Milk, cheese : common organisation of the market CMO (amend. Regulation (EEC) No 2204/90)

PURPOSE : to lay down additional general rules on the common organisation of the market in milk and milk products as regards cheese. COMMUNITY MEASURE : Council Regulation 2583/2001/EC amending Regulation 2204/90/EC laying down additional general rules on the common organisation of the market in milk and milk products as regards cheese. CONTENT : the amendment relates to the penalty to be applied in the case of the use of quantities of casein and caseinates without prior authorisation in the manufacturer of cheese. Following the entry into force of this Regulation, the calculation of the penalty will be based on the market price for skimmed milk powder and not on its intervention price.
