2002 budget: EP's supplementary estimates 1/2002

The committee adopted the report by Kathalijne BUITENWEG (Greens/EFA, NL) adopting the supplementary estimates 1/2002 to Parliament's budget for the 2002 financial year. The aim is to enable Parliament to contribute EUR 1 million to the amount needed to cover the specific expenditure of the Convention on the Future of Europe that cannot be attributed directly to the participating institutions. The committee agreed that a new Article 372 should be created ("Contribution to the financing of expenditure related to the Convention on the Future of Europe") and endowed with the required amount of EUR 1m, which would be taken from Chapter 101 (Contingency reserve). �
