Amending budget 2/2004: section VIII part B: European data-protection Supervisor

The committee adopted the report by Neena GILL (PES, UK) approving Draft Amending Budget No. 2/2004 unamended on the grounds that it provided sufficient funding for the European Data-Protection Supervisor whilst staying within the ceiling of Heading 5 of the financial perspective and not restricting other activities. MEPs also called for the European Data-Protection Supervisor to submit a report before September 2004 (in time for the start of the 2005 budgetary procedure) assessing operational needs, the progress made in setting up administrative structures and recruitment procedures, the cooperation agreement with Parliament and financial and budgetary management.�
