1994 discharge: EC General budget

In the proposal for a resolution adopted unanimously, the Committee on Budgetary Control voted to grant the Commission discharge for the 1994 financial year, subject to the demands set out in specific areas and provided that the Commission included an account entitled "Sums subject to recovery procedure" in the Union accounts. Parliament this demonstrated that it had not overlooked the problems highlighted in the first declaration of assurance issued by the Court of Auditors in application of the Maastricht Treaty and was forcing the Commission to take remedial action in the form of specific measures.�
