Raw tobacco: common organisation of the market CMO

PURPOSE : to codify the EU Regulation on the common organisation of the market in raw tobacco. CONTENT : the basis of this proposal lies in the various measures the EU has adopted to try and codify legislation in the event of ten (or less) amendments being made to initial legislative acts. The proposal recommends the codification of Regulation 2075/92/EC on the common organisation of the market in raw tobacco. The new Regulation will supersede the various acts incorporated in it even though their content is fully preserved and they are brought together with only such formal amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself. The proposal follows preliminary consultation in all official languages. In so far as the Articles have been given new numbers, the correlation between the old and the new number is shown in a table contained in an Annex to the codified Regulation.�
