Honey: application of measures to improve the production and marketing

PURPOSE : to lay down general rules for the application of measures to improve the production and marketing of honey. CONTENT : the purpose of this proposal is to undertake a codification of Council Regulation 1221/97/EC of 25 June 1997 laying down general rules for the application of measures to improve the production and marketing of honey. The new Regulation will supersede the various acts incorporated in it. This proposal fully preserves the content of the acts being codified and hence does no more than bringing them together with only such formal amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself.�
