Minimum stocks of crude oil and/or petroleum products. Codification

PURPOSE : a codification of Council Directive 68/414/EEC imposing an obligation on Member States of the EEC to maintain minimum stocks of crude oil and/or petroleum. PROPOSED ACT : Council Directive. CONTENT : under an EU drive to codify legislation with more than 10 amendments the Commission is presenting this codified version of a Council Directive. The new Directive will supersede the various acts incorporated in it whilst at the same time fully preserving the content of the acts being codified. The only amendments that exist are formal and are there for the purpose of codification. The codification was drawn up on the basis of a preliminary consolidation and the instruments amending it by means of a data processing system.�
