Equality women and men: promoting organisations active at European level, 2004-2005 action programme

The committee adopted the report by Rodi KRATSA (EPP-ED, GR) broadly approving the common position under the 2nd reading of the codecision procedure, subject to just two amendments. These aimed to take account of the discussions held in the budget conciliation meeting of 24 November 2003 (on the introduction of transitional clauses concerning the period of eligibility of expenditure). The committee accordingly introduced transitional provisions to take account of the fact that the act could not be adopted before the beginning of 2004. In this way, beneficiaries would be able to claim a grant for the totality of their eligible costs in 2004. �
