EP Rules of procedure, rule 135 and Annex VI: responsibilities of the Committee on Petitions

The committee adopted unanimously the draft decision amending Rule 161 of Parliament's Rules of Procedure concerning the work of the Ombudsman, as the current formulation of the Rule is incompatible with Parliament's decision of 9/3/94 on the regulations and general conditions governing the performance of the Ombudsman's duties. The rapporteur, Mr Brian CROWLEY (UPE, IRL), seeks to improve the good relations which exist between the European Ombudsman and its Committee on Petitions. �
