EP Rules of procedure, rule 156: right of petition

The committee adopted unanimously the proposal for a decision amending Rule 156 of the Rules of Procedure on the right of petition. The proposal by the rapporteur, Mr Sören Wibe (PSE, S), sought to allow the submission of petitions via electronic media and provided, inter alia, for the introduction of a public register in which all petitions which had not been submitted in confidence would be entered. �
