Textile names (consolidation)

The aim of the present Commission proposal was the legislative consolidation of Council Directive 71/307/EEC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to textile names. The new directive was to replace the various directives which were the subject of this consolidation process; it would fully respect the substance of the consolidated instruments and would be confined to a compilation of the provisions contained in those instruments, together with the formal amendments required by the consolidation process. �
