Telecommunications terminal equipment and satellite earth station equipment (consolidated text)

OBJECTIVE: legislative consolidation SUBSTANCE: Commission proposal to consolidate the European Parliament and Council directive relating to the telecommunications terminal equipment and satellite earth station equipment, including the mutual recognition of their conformity, combining the following directives into a single text: - Council Directive 91/263/EEC concerning telecommunications terminal equipment, including the mutual recognition of their conformity; - Council Directive 93/97/EEC, supplementing Directive 91/262/EEC in respect of satellite earth equipment. The new directive will supersede the various directives incorporated in it; their content is fully preserved, and they are brought together with only such formal amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself. �
