Improvement of the processing and marketing conditions for agricultural products (consolidation of Objective 5A)

OBJECTIVE: Consolidation of Objective 5(a) of the structural funds on the adjustment of agricultural structures throughout the Community. A clear presentation of the rules governing agricultural structures will enable potential beneficiaries to check the usefulness and relevance of the available opportunities with a view to making an application and following through to implementation. SUBSTANCE: the proposal for consolidation comprises the updating of Regulation (EEC) No 866/90 on improving the processing and marketing conditions for agricultural products by incorporating its successive amendments and by introducing certain elements of simplification and clarity. The proposal does not entail any substantive changes to the regulation to be consolidated. �
