Processed fruit and vegetable products: common organisation of the markets (COM)

OBJECTIVE: to amend Regulation (EC) No 2201/96 on the common organisation of the markets in processed fruit and vegetable products - Annex III on the allocation of fresh tomatoes by Member State and product group for the 1997/98 and 1998/99 marketing years. CONTENT: the European Commission proposes to reduce the French quota of tinned whole peeled tomatoes by 15 000 tonnes and to increase its quota of "other products" by the same quantity in order to take account of the needs of the French processing industry. This measure will apply for the 1997/98 and 1998/99 marketing years.�
