Decentralised Community agencies: European monitoring centre on racism and xenophobia

OBJECTIVE: to amend Regulation 1035/97/EC establishing a European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia in order to modify the basic regulations governing the financial control of this agency. CONTENT: the proposed amendments apply solely to the power of discharge : the Monitoring Centre is mainly funded by EU subsidy and it is therefore proposed that the power of discharge be granted to the European Parliament on the recommendation of the directors of the Monitoring Centre. �
