Rice: common organisation of the market COM, scheme for compensatory payment

OBJECTIVE: to amend Regulation (EC) No 3072/95 on the common organization of the market in rice as regards the application of the scheme for compensatory payments. SUBSTANCE: the proposal replaces Greece's national base area with two separate base areas covering the same total area. Any overrunning of the base area where rice growing is not traditional will have no impact on the amount of aid granted to producers in the base area favourable to rice growing. �
