Ombudsman: regulations and general conditions of performance of duties

This documents sets out the Commission's opinion on the resolution of 17
November 2000 of the European Parliament concerning the European Ombudsman.
In its opinion, the Commission is of the same view as the European
Parliament and believes that Articles 12 and 16 of the Decision of the
European Parliament 94/262/ECSC, EC, Euratom of 9 March 1994 (OJ L 113, 4
may 1994, p. 15) concerning the regulations and the general conditions of
performance of the Ombudsman's duties, should be deleted in conformity with
the terms of the European Parliament's resolution.
