EC staff regulations: conditions of employment of non-permanent staff (amend. Regulation (EEC) No 259/68)

PURPOSE : to extend the duration of auxiliary staff contracts. COMMUNITY MEASURE : Council Regulation 490/2002/EC, ECSC, Euratom amending the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the European Communities as regards the length of contracts of auxiliary staff. CONTENT : In view of the need to ensure continuity of service when the interests of the institutions so require, this Regulation amends Article 52(b) of the above-mentioned Conditions of Employment in order to extend the maximum duration of contracts for auxiliary staff to three years.
