EP Rules of procedure, rule 156: right of petition

1996/2207(REG)
In adopting the report by Mr Sören WIBE (PSE, S) Parliament amended Rule 156 of its Rules of Procedure. This Rule sets out the conditions which must be met for submission of a petition to the European Parliament. The amendments seek only to provide additional details so that unless the person submitting the petition asks for it to be treated in confidence, the petition is to be entered in a public register.
