Processed fruit and vegetable products: common organisation of the markets (COM)

OBJECTIVE: to amend Regulation (EC) No 2201/96 on the common organisation of the markets in processed fruit and vegetable products - Annex III on the allocation of fresh tomatoes by Member State and product group for the 1997/98 and 1998/99 marketing years. COMMUNITY MEASURE: Council Regulation 2199/97/EC. CONTENT: the amendment, which follows on from the overall compromise on the 1997/1998 prices package involves reducing the French quota of tinned whole peeled tomatoes by 15 000 tonnes and increasing its quota of "other products" by the same quantity in order to take account of the needs of the French processing industry. ENTRY INTO FORCE: the regulation will apply from 15 June 1997.�
