Raw tobacco: common organisation of the market COM (amend regul. 2075/92/EEC)

OBJECTIVE: to amend Council Regulation (EEC) No 2075/92 on the common organization of the market in raw tobacco. COMMUNITY MEASURE: Council Regulation (EC) No 2595/97 amending Council Regulation (EEC) No 2075/92 on the common organization of the market in raw tobacco and fixing the guarantee thresholds for leaf tobacco by group of tobacco varieties for the 1998 harvest. SUBSTANCE: the purpose of the amendment is to extend by one year the application of the arrangements in force in the raw tobacco sector to allow the necessary time for the implementation of the reform proposed in the Commission's options document which was considered by the Council in the first months of 1997.
