OBJECTIVE: approval of PARCOM Decision 96/1 on the phasing-out of the use of
hexachloroethane in the non-ferrous metal industry.
COMMUNITY MEASURE: Council Decision 98/241/EC.
SUBSTANCE: PARCOM Decision 96/1 on the phasing-out of the use of hexachloroethane (HCE)
in the non-ferrous metal industry is approved on behalf of the Community. Under this decision, all
use of HCE in that industry must cease by 31/12/1997.
