Use of ESA 95 in the determination of Member States' payments to the VAT-based own resource

The European Parliament adopted the report by Jutta HAUG (PES, D). The Parliament approved a proposal relating to the application of a new statistical system of measurement (ESA 95) to the EU's own resources percentage of VAT for the calculation of the EU budget. MEPs are anxious to ensure that the technical adjustments will not result in any change to the budgetary contributions of the Member States and also want the question of revenue raising taken up in discussion with the Commission and the Council. �
