Financial perspective 2000-2006: adjustment to take account of implementation

The European Parliament endorsed the resolution by Mr Joan COLOM I NAVAL (PES, E) which proposed the adjustment of the financial perspective between 2002 and 2006. It follows considerable underspending of the parts of the 2000 budget that were earmarked for the Structural Funds. Under the 1999 interinstitutional agreement any funds not spend in 2000 which could not be carried over to 2001 can be re-budgeted over the 2002 to 2006 programming period.
