Rules and arrangements for structural assistance in the fisheries sector: maximum rates of assistance

In adopting the report by Mr Bernard POIGNANT (PES, F), the House welcomed the Commission's proposal to adapt the Structural Funds relating to the fisheries sector. This is to take account of the particular needs of the EU's outermost regions. Among the non-binding amendments adopted was one designed to ensure that the Commission acknowledged not only the state of fishing but also the financial situation in the outmost regions.�
