Request for the waiver of Mr Pacheco Pereira's immunity

The European Parliament has decided, in line with the recommendation from the Legal Affairs Committee and a report drafted by Mr Neil MacCORMICK (Greens/EFA, UK), not to waive the immunity of Mr José PACHECO PEREIRA (EPP/ED, P). This follows a request from the Portuguese authorites for his immunity to be waived after criminal law proceedings had been brought against him on charges of slander.�
