European research area: research and training activities, framework programme EURATOM 2002-2006

The European Parliament adopted the report by Gerard CAUDRON (PES, France) and made a number of amendments to the Commission proposal for the Euratom Framework Programme for 2002-2006. (Please refer to previous document). With regard to the Joint research Centre, Parliament stated that the main objective will be to further develop collaboration through networking, leading to broad consensus on a range of issues at European and world level. Special attention will be given to cooperation with candidate countries.�
