Budget 2002: Fund for financing of the Convention on the future of the European Union

PURPOSE : to adopt the budget of the Fund for the financing of the Convention of the future of the European Union for the financial year 2002. COMMUNITY MEASURE : Conference of the representatives of the Governments of the Member States - adoption of the budget for the Fund for the financing of the convention on the future of the European Union for the financial year 2002 (2002/351/EU). CONTENT : the budget of the Fund for the financing of the Convention on the future of the European Union for the financial year 2002 has been adopted. To recall, the revenue corresponds to 3 contributions from the European Institutions (Parliament, Commission and the Council) of a total amount of EUR 4 million. The expenditure relates to the organisation of Convention debates, for instance: - expenditure relating to the Members and staff of the Convention (Duty travel of the chairman and vice-chairmen, accommodation and subsistence allowances, remuneration and other allowances, mission expenses and representation expenses) amounts to EUR 958 750; - operating expenditure (translations, brochures and publications, studies, hearings, forum and infrastructure) amounts to EUR 2 671 250; - other expenditure (contingency reserve) amounts to EUR 370 000.�
