Conservation of fishery resources: protection of juveniles of marine organisms

OBJECTIVE: to amend Regulation (EC) No 850/98 on the protection of juveniles of marine organisms, so as to correct various editorial inadequacies in the Regulation. COMMUNITY MEASURE: Council Regulation (EC) No 308/99 amending Regulation (EC) No 850/98 for the conservation of fishery resources through technical measures for the protection of juveniles of marine organisms. CONTENT: this Regulation seeks to make editorial changes to various parts of Regulation (EC) No 850/98. In particular, it redefines the fishing limits of certain Member States and revises the method laid down for determining the size of a spinous spider crab. ENTRY INTO FORCE: 19 February 1999. The regulation will be applicable from 1 January 2000.�
