EC/Ukraine Partnership and Cooperation Agreement. Protocol following the 1995 enlargement

PURPOSE: to adopt a protocol to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the

European Community and Ukraine in order to take into account the accession of Austria, Finland

and Sweden to the Community.

LEGISLATIVE ACT: Council and Commission Decision 2000/638/EC, ECSC, Euratom on the conclusion of the Protocol to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement establishing a partnership between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and Ukraine, of the other part.

CONTENT: this Decision approves a protocol with a view to inserting the names of the three new Member States which acceded to the Community on 1 January 1995 (Austria, Finland, and Sweden) in the list of signatory states to the EC-Ukraine Partnership Agreement.

ENTRY INTO FORCE: the protocol shall enter into force when all the necessary procedures have been completed.
