EC/Chile Association Agreement: 2004 enlargement of the EU. Protocol

PURPOSE : to enable the 10 New Member States to adhere to the Association Agreement between the European Communities and Chile.
PROPOSED ACT : Council Decision.
CONTENT : in accordance with Article 6(2) of the Treaty of Accession of the new Member States to the European Union, the accession of these new Member States to the Association Agreement between the EU and Chile should be approved by the conclusion of an additional protocol to this Agreement. This is the aim of this proposal. The text of the Protocol negotiated with Chile is attached to this decision.
